Public Relations Campaign
The document to the left is a mock public relations campaign created for the Bloomington Public Library (BPL) for my fall 2022 public relations campaigns course. Below is a corresponding presentation for the project. I worked in a 4-person group to conduct research, plan, and create a campaign for the BPL as they were undergoing renovations to their facility. Our group was awarded for presenting the best campaign in our class. Instruction of this course was by Dr. Joel Reed.
Strategic Public Relations Plan
The document to the left is a Strategic Public Relations Plan created for Rivian for my 2023 Public Relations Management course. This was a seven person group project where we worked together to conduct research, ask questions, and collaborate ideas to create a strategic internal and external communications plan for Rivian. This project combined team collaboration and individual section work to achieve a successful, cohesive plan.
Donor Thank You Video
This video was a creative project that I took on during my 2021 internship with Illinois State Donor Relations and Stewardship. I used Adobe Premier Pro to splice the student thank you videos together and collaborated with University Marketing and Communications for the opening and closing frames.
Redbird Philanthropy Quest Video Project
When I worked for Illinois State University: University Advancement- Donor Relations and Stewardship Department as a communications intern, I was asked to help shoot this video project! I read off the script and was featured in ISU's annual Philanthropy Quest series. This was a great opportunity of working with ISU University Marketing and Communications and gaining experience with scripts, media, and experience behind the camera.
Reggie's Holiday Pick Voiceover
I was asked to record a voice over for this promo Illinois State University Reggie's Holiday Pick video! This was shared on ISU's Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter platforms.

In college, I took on the role of Vice President of New Member Experience through my sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, from spring 2021 to fall 2022. One of my large responsibilities was to plan a new member retreat for approximately 40 people each semester. I wanted to create a unique, interactive event that focused on team-building. I wanted to host an event that had never been done before in my organization.
I came up with the idea of creating a Murder Mystery Dinner Party event. This event took a lot of thinking and planning to bring it to life for the amount of people the event had to be catered to. For this event, I booked a venue and dinner, came up with my own full 15-page script complete with an enticing storyline, characters, and props, recruited actors, broke up teams, and created a powerpoint to guide all the participants through the evening.
This is one of my proudest college accomplishments.
“The murder mystery party that I participated in during my new member experience was the most unique, exciting, and creative event I have ever participated in. You could tell Millie poured hours of time into this event, and her genuine love for her position radiated through it. She created an event that fostered an environment of inclusivity amongst members in AGD who, in the beginning were just mere acquaintances, and by the end, had sparked the lifelong bond of sisterhood with each other.”

As part of my Vice President of New Member Experience role in my sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, one of my biggest tasks was to plan our chapter-wide bid day events in spring 2022 and fall 2022.
If you are questioning wtf a "bid day" is and have no idea what goes on in a sorority, I'll give you a quick explanation! In a sorority, new members are recruited each semester. During recruitment, the members that the sorority feels would connect well with them are offered a bid. If a new member accepts a sorority's bid, then they join that sorority. Bid Day is a chapter-wide celebration of welcoming in all those new members who accepted their bids.
In January 2022, we welcomed in ~15 new members for our spring bid day.
I extensively planned this event for months which included a theme, decorations, catering, and activities for 80+ women.
I selected a Wizard of Oz theme with the tagline of "there's no place like home."
A few of the specific tasks I did for this event included:
-
Communicated with Campus Ink for t-shirt designs and production
-
Created my own design using Illustrator for stickers and buttons for the event (pictured)
-
Collaborated with Jimmy Johns for our catering needs to serve 80+ people
-
Monitored my allotted funds in our chapter budget and recording my receipts
-
Purchased decorations, items for goodie bags, and additional food for the event
-
Worked with my team to create and set up decorations
-
Decorating the house the night before the event and the morning of

In addition to spring 2022 bid day, I also planned a second fall 2022 bid day with even more people involved!
In August 2022, we welcomed ~30 new members for our fall bid day.
Since I had the experience of one bid day under my belt, I reflected on ways I could improve the event and implemented some of those thoughts into this bid day.
This time, I received the chapter's input on the theme by having them vote on options. We landed on a Mama Mia themed bid day.
I took even more time to plan this event and thought through what succeeded during the previous bid day and what I could change to make unsuccessful parts more successful.
A few of the specific tasks I did for this event included:
-
Communicated with Campus Ink for t-shirt designs and production
-
Created my own designs using Illustrator for 2 different stickers and plastic cups (pictured)
-
Collaborated with Jimmy Johns for our catering needs to serve 120+ people
-
Designed an itinerary to clarify what the timeline and events of bid day consist of (pictured)
-
Implemented more team-bonding / get-to-know-you activities and ice breakers
-
Researched, located, and hired a photo booth company for the event
-
Monitored my allotted funds in our chapter budget and recording my receipts
-
Purchased decorations, unique items for goodie bags, and additional food for the event
-
Worked with my team to create and set up decorations
-
